View Full Version : Cancun Contest
The wife and I are headed to Cancun Saturday for a little R&R in the sun. Sun being the key. We really enjoy being someplace sandy and warm while there are blizzards raging at home. Not wishing you all any ill weather but here is the contest:
Contest: Forecast the total Denver snow fall for Sun 11/15- Fri 11/20 while we are warming our toes. I will use a NOAA historical site for recording the results.
For ties the first recorded entry on this thread will be the winner.
Prize: a mixed fiver... :first:
Have a great week guys, I'm gonna! Oh and by the way I hear the LCDH in Cancun is having an anniversary party next Friday night, such lousy timing but I guess I will have to represent FRH at the party :dance3:
glenn
for fairness let's cut off entries Wed at noon...

How have a GREAT time down there. We are lucky from Denver and get some fantastic deals to head down there.
I'm not sure if you've been to Playa Del Carmen yet but if you get the chance take a drive down there. It's a fantastic town.
My guess: 4.6 inches.
Cheers!

I always like 6". But which NOAA station? Out west here might get a bunch more than out east by Jamie.

im gonna go with 5.8 inches in denver, but more in golden....like 9.2
I had to put shoes on this morning and that really sucks... Weather was great in Cancun and looks like it didn't suck to bad here last week either.
According to http://www.crh.noaa.gov/bou/include/showProduct.php?product=wrkf6 (http://www.crh.noaa.gov/bou/include/showProduct.php?product=wrkf6) the only day with snow in the defined period was Sunday 11/15 with 3.5 inches of snow recorded.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner goes to robustbrad with the closest guess at 4.6 inches. :lotofsmiles:
Brad PM me your addy and i will get you a fiver in the mail.

Only smoked 15 cigars in 7 days. Like I said somewhere earlier, the only thing equal to sitting in a leather comfy chair smoking a good cigar is sitting on a beach with a beer and a good cigar...

Tons of Fauxhibos to be found in lots of plexiglass top boxes. Actualy had one of the beach vendors gift me a Cohiba Sublimes 2009 LE "to try the quality of"... :nono: I gifted it back out to the local economy almost as quickly as it hit my shirt pocket...
The mojitos at the LCDH were fantastic. Got to try an MC Sublime 2008 LE and wish I hadn't... man that was a good cigar and my wife has already asked how much that little taste is going to cost...:Jumpy:
