Greetings all,
I found your group from a posting about International Pipe Smoking Day on Smokers Forums (SF). It's nice to find some like-minded folks near home.
An introduction.
I'm Craig Cooper and I reside in Parker. I'm a pipe maker and have a website: www.PipeandPouch.com (http://www.PipeandPouch.com) where I sell my pipes. My wife and I moved to CO about 4 years ago from AZ.
I am the former owner of the Village Smoke Shop in Scottsdale, AZ, and after a 10 year run, I decided to close it down. I was a full service tobacconist and stocked over 10,000 cigars, over 400 pipes, and more than 100 different pipe tobacco blends. Economics, combined with an un-cooperative landlord, and increasing local competition, led to the decision to close.
I've been making briar pipes for over 30 years, mainly as a hobby, gifting them to friends. I decided to go pro, and started the website. So far, so good.
My passion is pipes (obviously!), but I do enjoy cigars, also. They both provide different experiences, depending on the mood.
I'm also a member of the League Pipe Club of Denver. We meet at the Celtic on the second Thursday of each month around 7pm. We have over 100 members! About 20-30 regularly attend the meetings. It's a great group, and if you can make a meeting, please do!
My other interests include motorcycling, firearms, and model railroading (HO).
I'm planning to attend the IPSD meet at the Smoking Cave on the 20th. I look forward to meeting some of you.
All the best,
Craig A. Cooper
