On Sunday I was out working in my yard all day, and toward the end of the day I decided I was going to cut up a fallen tree that I had moved to the side of my yard during winter. Well, my left middle finger met the working end of my chain saw (kicked back), yet I still have my entire finger, and only the tip of the finger was cut. It is a very respectible cut, but still just a cut. I am a blessed individual that still has his entire finger. Praise God.
Matt
(I just had to tell someone because I still can't belive that I am blessed with having my whole finger)

Man that is an important finger, the cut will just add character. :flipoff:

Glad to hear you came away ok, Matt... We had a safety message at work recently about always wearing chaps because a guy nearly lost his leg (chaps saved him, bar a few cuts). Best to err on the side of caution with chainsaws in my experience...

Growing up in the pacific north west... Ive seen many people that tangled with chainsaws and lost big time. You are a lucky man sir!.:runnningaround:
This thread is like the collection of stories my mom used to tell on the way to the farm in the summers; they were all aimed at discouraging the participation in work and play with farm equipment. Never discouraged me though...
Glad you walked away safe...

Wow crazy. Glad you made it out with a good story to tell rather than fingers to mount on the wall.

Ditto to that - I've almost been one of the unlucky that tangled and lost! You'll have to post some gruesome pics!
