Hey guys, Roberta has been in the hospital for the last 2 weeks for her surgery. I was staying down there most of the day and night, coming home twice a day for showers and animal feedings. After 3 days, she asked that I not leave anymore so I went ahead and stayed down there. Had trouble getting on CFRHN. Operator error I think. Also had very little time / energy to post. I could never make it as a full time nurse.

We are back at home now, although she requires a bunch of care still, I have about 1 hour out of 4 to work so far and the nights are pretty regimented. It will get better with time. Have not enjoyed a stogie for a long time, and it will still be awhile I think. Smoke a few extra for me....back on the stupid Copenhagen kick.

I moved my office upstairs to try to start earning a living again and that seems to be wortking a little better. Although I can't spend a lot of time here, I wanted to say that whenever I get a few minutes to check out your posts, I have to smile a little. Nothing like a pw or hi-jack to lift the spirits.

Should get back into the groove in a few weeks and just wanted to guys to know I am still lurking around.
Keep up the good work....

Now for the important stuff, she is doing better than the docs could have imagined, although the recovery road will be bumpy (3-6 months). Several nurses said this was the biggest surgery they had been involved with and they too were amazed at her release in just two weeks. I will try to keep you guys updated. When she is healed, maybe we can have a mini herf / grill in the backyard by the old pool.
Thanks again for the entertainment~~~~ Ron

Ron thanks so much for taking some of your limited time to update us on Roberta's progress. I have thought of both of you over the past few weeks and am so glad to hear she is doing well. I look forward to meeting Roberta in person, she sounds like a very strong person with a hunger to beat this and get on with living.
