So my dad and I went in on a box of these back in March after liking the DK White Label vintage 1999. Well actually we signed up for the club and forgot, so we actually got 2 boxes of these
smoked a couple soon after receiving and decided I wasnt really a fan of the red label > kind of one dimensional and stiff to the noob senses.
so i let them sit in the humi, havent even given them a second thought.. until sunday night... my lil bro was over and we decided it was a good time to burn one down... so i went to the coolador and for whatever reason these caught my eye and I pulled 2 of them out for us.
we went out back and lit them up, instantly I noticed that the stiffness of the cigar was dramatically less and the stick really seemed to mellow from what I remembered. Cedar, leather, nuts and a sweet finish during the 2nd half. pretty good I thought, not quite on par with the HDM Dark Sumatras that I have (a couple left) but the weight and flavor was leaning that way.
all in all, Im removing the negative notes I had on my spreadsheet for this one. Maybe another couple months in the humi will do these even better!

Its amazing what a couple of months can do for a cigar... the more I smoke the more snobby I am getting... I really like the aged stuff a little bit more than fresh and even if it is only 6 months it does wonders...
Glad you enjoyed it after all this time cuz now you don't have to get rid of them!!

Never tried the red, but have had a couple of the DK brown label perfectos and they were definitely better after aging in the humi for a few months...might have to try the red now!

I'm thinking of wiring the fridge for speakers. Just so I can play lullabies to my little darlings while they sleep their wonderful slumber.

Uncle I can handle lol... My sister already has two and I told my parents that is all they get so they better enjoy... Unless I learn to be more patient before I hit 40... but I don't see it happening lol...

Kids will make you more patient, or put you on the list for a liver replacement. Try colic.
