This is meant for those who participated in the bombing runs on the BABOTL. If you where not part of the fun please disregard. For those who did participate please check the list above and let me know if I missed anybody or if you don't belong on the list.

Okay all here is the situation. Darrell sent a bomb intended for the group that destroyed them a few weeks ago to Fred. This bomb consists of several stick's in a large flat rate box. No instructions of any kind. Fred is dropping this box at my place tonight as he was not part of the attack on them and he should not be expected to have to figure out what to do with this huge bomb. The bomb includes aged CC's and many fine NC's.

Here is my suggestion:

Instead of trying to figure out who should get what I think we should do a raffle with just the folks that participated. One raffle ticket each at a cost of five cigars for the Troops. This way the bomb gets delivered to at least one of the folks who participated and the Troops make out at the same time.

That is just something off the top of my head that keeps us from trying to figure out how to disperse this bomb fairly. What do you think?

Please post your thoughts.

I don't know about the raffle, I'm more than happy to donate 5 sticks to the troops (or more) instead of returning fire...but I'd like some of the sticks in that box, I'm sure! I personally don't care which sticks, but I'd like some of them...I'm really not too picky...can we list them (the cigars) and round robin pick what we want? I'm willing to go last. If everyone else wants to go the raffle route, I'll play along.

I would love to give some cigars to the troops as well, but I am not too sure about a raffle unless I win... haha

I like Merts idea of dividing the cigars up in a round robin and I am not particularly picky either lol... but in all reality they shipped the bomb to you guys so if you wanna decide I am cool with that as well. That should make it easy for ya!!

I only participated in round one of the babotl bombing, so I'm not sure it is my place to add anything... Ahh, what the hell... How about you split the bomb up in to 2pks or 5ers and do the raffle so that some/most/all participants get something randomly? If they are given out at a herf there will be no shipping costs involved. Just thinking while typing :D

I like the ideas so far and the idea I threw out is just that, one idea. This was a group effort and will be a group decision. I want to make sure that all of the people that participated are involved in the process. So keep the ideas coming.

I'm getting old and my memory isn't so good so please fill in the names that I missed.

You could have someone that doesn't know smokes put them together in 5's or so give each package a number and then draw numbers for a 5er for the bombers either by bombs sent or keep rotating til they're gone. Does that make sense?

Perhaps some cremosas and then they will remember to put you down?

I am glad to see this coming together well... I am honestly up for whatever... if we wanna pack them into 5er that works... or singles that works too...

We might end up trading them anyway if we wanna switch with some people... so why don't we do this...

Lets do it at the BBQ herf since it looks as though all of us will make it...then we can figure it all out and do some swapping...

Only when you discover that the person before you has a oozing sore on his lip.

Holy crud they did themselves proud! I think I'm sitting in the middle of Lake Denver. Now I say we do a donation to Fred in their name and send them a note. Unless one of the other Troop Support guys is a BABOTL.

Okay after listening to what you all want to do I came up with the following plan to fairly distribute the bomb, please let me know if this is acceptable to the group.

I spent about an hour today rearranging the cigars to ensure that each fiver either had a CC or a high end NC in it, in addition I tried to ensure the higher end smokes were mixed with some of the less popular smokes. There is one sealed fiver of CC's that I did not wish to open and break up so we can either open it and add it to the forth coming plan just add it as is to the fivers with a number.

So here is the plan: I will number each fiver and write the numbers on small pieces of paper. At that point each person involved in the BABOTL bombs will blindly pick a number from a hat (bowl, whatever). By doing it this way we can draw for anybody that can't make the BBQ and hold their fiver for them until we see them.
