So here I am watching the Olympic coverage this morning, wishing I could see the Men's Bicycle Road Race, and what do they have? It's like I'm watching the Ocho or something. Women's handball looks like basketball without the dribbling. They use a goal about as big as a soccer goal. It seems every time that someone gets the ball they score. Why have a goalie? Oh look what's on the other channel, dressage? They're not even jumping the horses knocking stuff over. They're just trotting around a flat arena in their fancy little suits and silly hats.
How long til MMA gets to be an olympic sport?

I love the Olympics. Like clockwork, I'm reminded every 4 years just how much I love women's beach volleyball!! :twisted:

Ahh yes... my gf asked me which ass I liked best and was surprised at how fast I answered lol....

Women's beach v-ball is the best as is Rachel Wacholder's booty, but she isn't in Beijing. Fortunately for me, I get to watch women's beach volleyball every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon when I'm reffing it!

I used to play hockey with a girl that played beach volleyball. Holy crap! :mrgreen: Tough to make hockey gear look good.

I really enjoyed watching the 4x100 freestyle relay since we beat the French. Always enjoyable watching the French lose. Even more enjoyable after they talk smack and claim that they are going to "smash" the American team.

OH THAT WAS SWEET lol... you should have heard me yelling at my TV... Stupid french lol... I was going off on them...
I hope Phelps can do it... he has the toughest races down and only 2 more team events... so the rest is pretty much up to him!!
Hell, even the broadcasters had given up and were talking about the US taking silver. Then all of a sudden our anchor leg turned on the after bunner and smoked that frog.

I know... that was so freaking awesome to watch... my gf and I were sitting there unable to believe how fast he caught up... that was some crazy swimming.
Then the announcers said how bad the WR was beat... the top 5 groups in that race all beat the old WR and the Americans beat it by 4 seconds... :mrgreen:
Must be a weird feeling to know you broke a WR and came in 2nd!

Hey I'm personally hating the lack of cycling coverage. I wish the tv schedule would at least tell the approximate time stuff is on.

Since EVERYTHING is tape-delayed anyway (no, nothing is live, even though they display that, bs) here's my list of things that they should have shown during primetime:
1. basketball
2. baseball
3. boxing
4. wrestling
5. table tennis (way better than tennis IMO)
Here's some things that I'm really happy they haven't wasted my time with yet, but still might. If they showed it, and I missed it, thank God:
1. synchronized swimming (in fact, anything "synchronized" must go)
2. equestrian
3. shooting (love to do it, hate to *yawn* watch it)
4. archery
5. sailing

Was anyone unfortunate enough as I to see Race Walking on live? I laughed my a$$ off then switched to the other channel that had coverage and it was the women's marathon...snore. I turned it off and went to bed.

I second that motion 100%. My gf and I were just commenting on how lame it is that they just say... "in the next 5 hours you will see..." I want to know exactly when something is so I can know what I do and don't want to watch... I think NBC dropped the ball big time on these games!!

They keep a tv going in the hospital's cafeteria where we were eating some lunch, we saw the stupidest, biggest waste of time on tv masquerading as an Olympic sport. Rythmic gymnastics? Come on! Little girls do that when you give them a ribbon.
And then we saw something worse
TEAM RYTHMIC GYMNASTICS AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course between our laughter we realized that with these 5 member teams all with their long ropes tying each other up, they should do it in black leather dom outfits, whips for their ribbons to some hard rock music and you might get an audience. Of course it all went downhill when I suggested they should dress like Dr. Frank N Furter and the rest of the group and do the routine to the Time Warp. :mrgreen:

LOL.. i wish. Then I might be glued. Nah I need to get out of the stone age and get a DVR... we dropped our cable service like 6-8 months ago and they never shut off our cable so we have free basic... but I don't have any way to roll through those damn gay commercials... :?
