So I took off for a good cigar weekend up in Estes with the two trusty Ronsons, I'd left my triple torch at home because it was out of fluid. So I get up to the condo on the river with my gf and friends, settle into a chair and my lighters that I thought were full were empty. Good thing there was an elegant single soft flame Bic available for use.

So the debate is, what kind of fluid do you like for the price and performance and where's the best place to get it? Also would purging a new lighter I received from CI and doesn't work out of the box even after filling with that Ronson fluid help it work? Looks like a nice lighter.

Tanks guyz!

I buy Ronson fuel at the dollar store for a buck a can.

Never had any problems with my Ronsons or my Blazer.

I use the 5x filtered stuff that vector makes. 3 cans for like 12 bucks or so. I found I had huge issues on my Xikar lighter with the lower end fuels. :(

Vector @ $6 a can in Williams Sonoma... You have to brave the mall, but it is worth it 8)

ps My Zippo with blazer insert would light reliably last time I camped on Mt Evans (10-11k)... Not too bad eh?
