Hell IMO CU has no chance to beat West Virgina lol... no chance at all.

West Virginia will be looking to bounce back from their loss and will take it out on CU... the spread has WV by 3 but I would take WV by about 10.

Yeah yeah laugh it yup lol... I would still bet money that CU doesn't make it above .500! They have 3 wins, but things will only get tougher from here on... they have Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and many other tough games.

The plus side is if they pull it a few of those they might get ranked at some point... FSU is a toss up game that they have to win for their season to go anywhere. If they lose, then they will be 3-3 before they blink...

Meh.... I went to Harvard West...I mean CSU for several years (6 to be exact) and have 0 school pride... As far as I am concerned I will never give that school another dime for anything... be it merchandise, tickets to a game, or anything else... they pissed me off too many times with their Ivy league antics...

Well lets put it this way... they are in it for the money... the students and student life come last. Anything that is good for revenue is what they do... so their grand plan is to jack the student fees up. They are now about 25% of the tuition costs per semester. So if you take 15 credits your tuition is $2,212 for this year and your fees are $724.78. Which puts in state tuition at $6k per year. When I started in 2001 the tuition was around $1200 and the fees were below $380 a semester which made it around $3200 to attend. So they have managed to double the cost. Of course this doesn't include all of the fees... depending on what classes you take there are additional technology fees, lab fees, etc.

To make matters worse... there are around 25k students at CSU and parking for about 10k. So not everyone gets a space. Their grand vision for the campus is a car free zone. Where only teachers would have parking spaces and students would walk, ride the bus, or bike in. Now from the far end of Fort Collins where I used to live... there is no bus, and it was a 5 mile bike ride + each way... so that takes 30-45 mins each way... so what do you do for lunch? Stay there and pay them more money... They have already started to eliminate parking spaces there and put in meter parking and in the last 2 years through the next year or two they will triple the cost of a parking pass (for the spaces that don't exist).

Next instead of taking care of the necessities, they beautify the campus. Planting flowers everywhere and adding as many open spaces as possible... (never mind parking... lets all look at some flowers and trees... ) And of course... don't get stuck taking summer classes... they don't use the A/C unless you are literally dying in class so most rooms are so hot that you are pretty much half asleep and miserable...

That is the start of it... I am sure Ray can chime in as he is still stuck there for another year... :?

Hmm. Let's see, I went to CSU in 85-88. Lived at Ramblewood and didn't have a car so I rode the bike in, helped a bit with the racing too. When I moved down to Metro tuition was about $600 for a full semesters load.

BTW, as a former landscape architect student I like them open spaces and trees. Gave us a place to go hang out and kick back. Not as much fun as in a parking lot. I remember having to do the parking lot conga as well, there were lines of cars at both ends of the lane in the parking lot waiting like sharks to scoop up the next unoccupied spot. But hey, when I went to metro we used to park on the train tracks and loading docks where the Pepsi Center now stands. For free!

Open spaces are great, lets leave them to the parks though. A college is a place of business; I could do with a little less sunshine blown up my ass while I'm there. Aside from the trees, the fact that my money is horridly mismanaged is what really gets me. The student Govt just blew 40k for some fucking band to show up at "Homecoming" (colleges have home coming?[No.... really?]). CSU students have been subsidizing the busses here in town for years; in fact CSU is almost the ONLY thing keeping mass transit alive in Fort Collins. The president of the University regularly makes decisions about how funds are used, where and to what end; completely ignoring the university policy by ignoring the student Govt’s opinion.
Oh and the ‘self sufficient’ football team, that just asked for another midyear fee hike, after an average of three consecutive 11% fee hikes; to pay 2 mill in severance to some half ass football coach who should have been shit caned years ago!
