I'm sorry. I'm at the back end of a 34 hour day. I've also been in a vmware class all week.
I'll try harder next time.

Hey Zach, when do you find out about the new job? If you already posted this I missed it, but just wondering if you were working down here or installing the permanent humi in your car!

Found out about a week or two ago... It was down to 1 out of 2 and I was 2nd... :?
On the plus side I did get a raise up here so they are basically paying for my gas... I have a couple more leads and I will keep my eyes open for a nice job, but as it stands now I will be installing a humi in the car for an after work smoke...

State hiring freeze at the executive level at least, effective yesterday. I don't know if that effect you or not but it may effect me. There is a Director of Food Services position opening in March for the Division of Youth Corrections. The position reports to the Department of Human Services and the Legislature. In addition it pays up to almost double what I make now.

Yeah it might affect me... they were talking about a statewide freeze so that would mean everything if they actually do it... But the one I am looking at now is a Federal job...
I hope they get the freeze removed before that one opens up... it would be nice to make double... 8)

Yep, I drool a little every time I think about it. But at the same time 17 years at the same place is pretty comfortable.

Yeah it is... the job I didn't get in Denver was actually with the CDHS in their audit department.... they said I have qualified and they were impressed with my skills but didn't know if that particular job would be the best fit since it is a touchy feely kind of job... which they are probably right... I like the black and white work more... telling them they did it right or wrong it my cup of tea...

Seems we're starting to settle into a time where it's good to be in a comfortable job that you can stand and not be the bottom guy on the ladder. Hope it doesn't go that way.

I just found a sweet posting for 5 more jobs I can apply for that are right up my alley. Did anyone hear about the Royalty In Kind (RIK) Department of the Interior scandal at the Minerals Management service?
Well it seems they did a little house cleaning and there are 7 jobs opened up and I qualify for 5 of them and could get one with so many opened up lol... they are right up my neck of the woods since I do Oil and Gas audits and all of our terminology is the same. They are more economic related with a bit of marketing which is closer to my degree... so looks like I need to go home and get my resume ready lol...

YUP... those are the ones lol... and now they are almost all cleared out...  They posted 7 openings today and they are only open for 2 weeks which is a bit short so I am guessing they need them filled pronto... It would be sweet to get one of the higher level ones but hell entry level would be fine too... 8) 8)
