Anyone every had the problem of smoking an evening (sometimes late evening) cigar and then can't seem to get to sleep? I've been noticing that if I smoke after jiu-jitsu class (like 9:00 or so) I have a real hard time getting to sleep. When I forgo my nightly ritual, I seem to get to sleep much better. I don't remember having this problem before, so I think it might be related to the physical exercise in addition to the wonderful leaf. Just thought I'd see if anyone else has had that problem.

Interesting... I haven't really noticed that before. When I used to play poker until the wee hours and go to bed I didn't have a problem. But it makes sense that you could... :?

Nic buzz. I have to smoke early to keep that from happening to me. But if thats the only time you can get a smoke in you may want to put a bit of sugar under your tongue just before you go to bed and see if that helps.

Nice idea!! I have issues smoking late as well, heck I can't get to sleep period. Then any excercise after 7 or so jacks me up further, good endorphin buzz going. Ergo, I get to smoke maybe twice a week. :(

Sugar under my tongue? Hmmm...interesting...might have to give that a try. If that doesn't work I'll be joining you Dave...although it will mean I won't go through my smokes so fast I am stuck buying cheapies!

Can't believe the cure-all has not been suggested.....scotch (fermented sugar under the tongue!) Worked for Copenhagen issues also.

If that works then Bourbon should work also, no? <drunken smilie>

LOL... it might. I have always found if I have a hard time sleeping that a nice rich beer helps me relax enough to doze off... of course it doesn't hurt to take a unisom or something to help either...

Vodka seems to help me out. Very versatile too.
