Should find out this week if/what severance there may be. Mert, I'll do any kind of commercial or residential design. My bread and butter over the last 3 years has been data centers and collocation facilities. I've done a few pharmaceutical buildings as well. Thanks for the well wishes guys and thanks for asking the questions Mert.
Sorry to hear it Ryan ... layoffs in the air. I don't know that many architects, but I know my sis in San Fran is having a hard time staying busy too. I hope something comes along quickly man.

Good Grief, I hope the severence helps the transition.
Hang in there guys, I am kinda isolated working at home but I will see what I hear. Seems like usajobs has a lot of IT stuff, not so much in the architecture realm. I see a lot of potential in the "green" field / LEED. It is a buzz right now and is not limited to new development. LEED certification can be acheived on 1900s buildings.
Might look at this company as they have been making some waves... Aardex.com - Randy Swearingen was a heavy hitter office broker for Grubb & Ellis and made this move. I like thier building at Denver West (Signature Centre), very cool concept. Might be worth a cold call.
One way or another, my thoughts are with you.

Thanks! I've actually been in contact with Aardex over the last year or so on a couple of things, but nothing concrete. They are definitely on my resume list. Only guy I've met over there is Chris Ernst, do you know him at all?
