I know we usually go to HMS for UFC, but Sean said he would support having us come by the Smoking Cave. I was thinking we could alternate events or something...?? Thoughts? Next fight is this Saturday (it's a big one! Coutre v. Lesnar) so I was wondering what everyone thought about this.

Mert I won't be able to make it this time tot eh UFC fights.. Duane said he was gonna have them on the 15th as well, but I already have plans that day so I will be busy.
I will have to make it down to the Cave one of these days though.

I definately won't be able to go the smoking cave for UFC events, it would be a 3+ hour round trip for me.
Thats just too far for me to go in an evening. :cry:
So'k I'll hold the fort at HMS. :D

The Smoking Cave is a nice little lounge, they have 3 TV's, a few couches on one end, some bistro type tables at the other. The humi is decent, with some stuff I haven't really seen a lot of other places. The sell pipe stuff (starting to get more) and they sell Montecristo coffee.

This is a no-go for this time, Sean's going to change his cable provider so it won't be set up in time. So it's off to the wonderful deals at HMS!

I should be there about the same time as well. Swapped nights with the ex, now I just have to talk the gf into staying long enough to see some of the fights. :mrgreen:

I did while I was there. The first two went down so quick that they had to fill in previous fights to let the guys on the card have time to get ready. The gf was having issues with the smoke tonight when it got heavy, so she suffered through the first four fights for me and felt really bad when I suggested we bow out for the rest.
This after she drank my scotch and smoked a cigar. :mrgreen: What a catch! BTW, Henry's wife was trying one for the first time tonight as well.

Finally got to meet Henry, and he pulled the 'let me see what's in your travel box' trick after I gave him a smoke ... I can't believe I fell for that :D
Also, 3rd place in the poker tournament, which was enough to get my buy-in back. The fights were short, but the cards went long. Go figure.

Yea I brought the wifey along, and although we were only going to stay for the menbers party, she was having a great time talking with Dave's gf, and Duane's wife. Then she looked am me and said "what the heck, give me one" I gave her one of the "house sticks" an Aston Cabinet, easy mild stick , and she played with it for awhile. Then after several glasses of cab, she wanted another one. I had to cut her off, but let her puff on a diplomaticos, #4 that I was working on.
Duane put on a class party and the white elephant was pretty fun. Karin (wifey) hooked me up big, when she snagged a Siglo II for me in a grab.
There was a drawing where I won a pick out of Duane's personal stash, but took a rain check. Hopefully he'll put the good stuff back in the box before I pick 8) .
hopefully we can do a CFRH meet there soon. This place is going to be a haunt for me now, since Karin left a bottle of wine there, so I know she's planning on coming back at least once more.
thanks to all you great CFRH'ers, for the great sticks, can't say I was totally prepared, but at least this time I felt like I had a fighting chance!
