My wife Carrie and I wanted to thank Fred, Jamie and all the organizers of the Cigars for the Troops event last weekend. I truly have to say that it was a moving experience for me to finally be able to do something concrete that may provide a moment of home and happiness for some of our soldiers. I count this as no small thing.
I have given cigars and donated to raffles in the past but this event made it personal and I was given back more than I gave. Thanks again Fred and all the organizers for all that you do to ensure this happens for our men and women at war.
We also enjoyed the great camaraderie that was evident from all who attended. Good cigars, good food and generosity were shared by all along with that afternoon out of our lives taken to help someone else. I will remember this as one of the high points in my life where I was not too busy to remember the point of life. Thanks for all that took their time to come to volunteer and share in this wonderful event.
While you don't often see me on the forums, I am proud and honored to be counted as a Front Range Herfer.
