I think this is browser based. For instance I use something that heavly mods IE. No smilies, no spell checker.

I am on IE and I get smilies but the spell checker doesn't work. I am going to download a different browser tonight, any recommendations?

Firefox of course is still king. I've been using Chrome for a while now. Decent once you get used to it missing so many of the features of firefox. Spell check doesn't work on Chrome or IE 7 I guess.

I'm so not a fan of fire fox. I hate all the little file folder tabs on top. My mod makes little tabs that are like the windows start bar.

Hmm, I love little tabs across the top. Much neater for me than winders everywhere.

Didn't you have IE7 Pro installed? It has a built-in spell checker.

I have IE7 (it doesn't say Pro anywhere) with an add on spell checker but it doesn't work on this site so far. It works on CA but not here.
