Here is a cigar you don’t see everyday. The CAO Odyssey Torpedo is 6 3/4 x 55 that comes individually packaged in its own coffin box. This one has been resting for a long time.

This cigar is made from a wonderful combination of six different types of Cuban seed fillers. This tasty cigar features habano seed binder and sixth priming Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper that imparts a flavor that is second to none. This complex cigar has been aged since September 1, 1995. The CAO Odyssey is one of the rarest limited cigars introduced in late 2000.

The Odyssey is very well made, and provided a nice volume of smoke with little effort. The cigar burned evenly and did not require any relights and produced a stable long ash. It is a medium bodied smoke with an abundance of creamy nutmeg and vanilla spice accents with tones of white pepper. The finish is incredibly clean, leaving only a slight, lingering and pleasing peppery taste on the palate.

Just a smooth, tasty and rewarding cigar. I sipped a cup of dark java between mouthfuls of the peppery smoke. Yum... Oh, and did I mention the pleasant buzz?

The only place I have seen them was the place on 88th here in Westminster. I bought one for New Years eve back in 2005(next time I am there I will check to see if they still have some).

Sounds like a heck of a way to start out the day! Thanks for that review. Might have to put that on 'the list' and even venture into Original Cigars and hope they don't need a shave.

I was there a few weeks back and they must have backed off on the humidity because I did not see any mold.

About time. That place almost looked like a carpet last time I was in there months ago, or Zach's last box purchase your choice.

About a year ago it was real nasty and the guy that was working there gave the old song and dance about " pluming" LOL, I only stop in when I am in that part of town and too far from HMS!!

Not too bad, there is a whole new crew working there( I think it is the third or fourth in the last 2 years:confused:).

Might have to stop in there again and see how they're doing. How's it feel?

It seems o.k. there( prices are a little high) but I still prefer HMS over them, the only reason I stop in there is when I am on that side of town.

I used to go there a lot, but not much any more. I don't understand not allowing non-members in the lounge, especially if nobody else is there, too high prices, and people hired who know nothing of cigars.

Yeah that about kills it for me too when you start allowing members to have the main lobby and everyone else gets to sit on the sidewalk lol...

I don't mind members areas and privileges but not at the expense of the common person stopping by to get some cigars...

I hear you there, most of the people that worked there were not too friendly either.

You all have pretty much summed up why I live down the block from the place and have stopped going. Too bad, but Long Live Duane!!!!
