It always seems to be a crap shoot when buying and using a lighter in the CO altitude. I've had my share, and my usual go to is a Blazer CG-001. Any other thoughts? I'm looking for a double torch in the future.

I have had a triple torch, double torch and single torch. From Colibri to Xikar and currently have a single torch, $2.88 deals-extreme lighter, best one yet. My next lighter will be a Blazer because they seem to last forever and have a large fuel tank.

I will agree the Blazer's tank is huge! It's not the prettiest or smallest lighter in the bunch but it does work well. I'm not to thrilled with the Blazer out of warranty repair of $25.95, for that much you might as well buy a new lighter. Not a bad thing if it never breaks. But on the flip side, both Xikar lighters I have are getting ready to be sent back for repair/replacement. It's nice to have such a liberal warranty, but the key is to never to have to use it.

I have to say that I love my little cheapo ronson jetlite. I've only ever had one stop working and it was still under warranty so ronson replaced it. They're also cheap enough that it's not a huge deal if I lose one.

I also have a Zippo Blu that will be going back for the second time pretty soon. I am waiting in hope that they have made improvements in the inserts. That one will go back as many times as it takes for them to get it right.

You warrantied a $2 Jetlite?

I use those or a triple flame I received as a freebie from Taboo. Suprisingly enough Duane has the same model for sale and I'd actually buy one of these when the one I have bites the dust. I've not tried the Blazer yet but if I could I would. BTW, as some have found the Jetlite doesn't work at altitude. Woodland Park I believe is one place reported and I tried in Estes Park, no worky.

I'm with Lefty here. The Blazers are the best for me, and I also use Prince made by Blazer a lot. The CG-001 is great since the cap and chain of the other Blazers is just a PITA. Only moderate luck with the Jetlite's, and I will pick up some deal-extreme torches at some point. The nicest lighter I own is an ST Dupont X-tend mini, but I am afraid of losing it so I don't carry it around.

The Jet lites are cool. I have two, well actually I just went through them and one doesn't work, so I threw it away. The other sparks up every time.
I like soft flames too but they don't work very well outdoors, but a must with a pipe.
