I picked up some cleaning fluid...

On my way out of the liquor store tonight I spied this & decided to grab myself a bottle... I guess I'm set for cleaning fluid for a while!

The last time I did the alcohol/salt cleaning it was a serious mess and I'm not sure how good of a job it did. I tried whiskey because I thought any residual flavor would be nice, but in the end, Everclear definitely worked the best.

Sure am... I'm still a little wary of putting this stuff near the finish of my pipes, but it is doing a great job cleaning out my stems for the moment (I'm removing them first).

I just got some Bacardi 151 and it does a pretty good job and I didn't have to worry about the finish so much. And besides, Rum tastes much better than Everclear. :sifone:
