Havana's Fine Cigars

Brian is closing it up...The following is a message Brian sent me after I asked if we could have a Superbowl herf at HFC. Below that is my response to him, I took the liberty of speaking for the group, so I hope I did okay.


I would love to host you, but havana's is closing our current location. Cherry creek rents, the horrible parking down here, and the downturn in the economy has forced me out. Havana's will be down for a few months while I look for the perfect location (uptown is where i'll be moving).

In the meantime (until this Friday), all my remaining inventory is 50% off - including cigars. Come down and get some deals if you have time.

Keep an eye on our website, havanascigarsdenver.com in the coming months. I'll put our new location there when the time is right.

Thank you for getting back to me so quick Brian. I am sorry to hear that the
store is closing but will keep an eye out for the new store. I will post
this on our local Forum so that the FRH'ers have the opportunity to stop in
before the store closes. I can tell you that all of the FRH'ers have enjoyed
this spot (especially in the summer) and we look forward to supporting you
in the next location.

I would love too... but I'm pretty busy the next few days and wouldn't have time till Friday or later... So I will probably have to pass... plus as usual there are a few things that I think I might "have" to get here in the next week...

What's the status of Havana's? I pretty much started down the slope by walking into the now defunct CC location. Any idea if it has resurfaced in a new location yet? :noidea:

I forget the name of the guy that used to work for Brian. Joe maybe? I've seen him at CO6 and Smoking Cave. Both times he said Brian was still looking for the right location and working on obtaining a liquor license wherever it ends up. I miss the view in CC!

Many of you may or may not know that What's Knot to Love is no more. The new owner is named David and he has renamed the location Capital Cigars. Brian (the owner of the now closed Havana's Fine Cigars) has been working with David closely. As you know, Brian is a great guy. You can head down and see that David is a great guy too! You might even run into Brian.
