I got a PM from Vin (Massphatness on CA) and he said I could post over here to see if we wanted to get involved as a group.

"I apologize for getting this information to you all so late. I’ve been battling some kind of nasty bug this week, and it’s had me flat on my back the past few days.

As you know, my fellow MassHole Gargoyle and his wife Julie are in the process of adopting four siblings. I was hoping to rally CA to show him some love because this is about the most selfless undertaking I’ve had the privilege to witness.

A number of you have asked what specific things can be donated, and truly, Gargoyle and his new clan seem to need very little as he and his wife have a large group of relatives falling all over themselves to pitch in. What I do know is that his cigar budget is being slashed as his finances are being re-prioritized. My thought is we could keep him in smokes for a little while, but I will leave it to each of you to determine what you actually want to do. Again, I know they already have lots of “things” for the kids, but a WalMart gift card or something similar never hurts.

Some have inquired as to the specifics of the children’s ages & genders:

3 month old boy
18 month old boy
3 year old girl
4 year old boy

As for the cigars, Gargoyle is one of the few Gurkha aficionados on the site, and I know he likes Graycliffs as well.

In the end, whatever you do will absolutely be appreciated by Gargoyle and his family. You already have my deep appreciation and gratitude for taking part in this effort.

Launch when you’re ready, and by all means, keep the “Baby Shower” thread updated. Our friend is almost painfully shy, and this whole thing is making him a tad uncomfortable. "

I have Gargoyle's addy, I wanted to see if we wanted to do something as a group effort here. PM me if you are interested and we'll just go from there.

I can make it any night this week, but I think wed-fri would be the best... plus if we wait a bit (like thurs or fri), I might be able to drop your box of smokes off to ya....:D
