So my gf is coming Saturday and only smoked a little at the Tat event. So she's a newbie, I'm looking for suggestions as to a couple of sticks for her. She said she likes the start of the tatajues better than the end so I'm thinking lighter.

Ideas?

Dave, when you say new to cigars, is she also a new smoker (ie no cigarettes)? If so, you might try easing her in with something on the lighter side. Connecticut wrapper would be my bet & maybe in a smaller size? (AVO, Cabaiguan, CAO gold, Diamond Crown, etc). Dawn also likes the Natural line by Drew Estates if you think something a sweeter will suit... They are not really flavored, but contain a little pipe tobacco in the blend & have sweetened caps. Not my cup of tea, but they don't smell like a perfume/candy factory either.

I'd suggest either a Nording torpedo as it's smaller, flavorful, and aromatic, a Perdomo Champagne or a 5 Vegas Gold.

The Ashton Classic is a good tasty cigar that isn't too strong.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Peter, to answer your question, former cig smoker.
