Thanks guys. It was a good birthday, considering the circumstances. My wife was finally moved out of the ICU last night and continues to improve. Her blood is getting a lot better, and most of her organs are showing signs of improvement as well. Her kidneys are still doing bad, requiring dialysis, but the kidney doc seems to be confident they will improve soon. She spends her mornings getting the dialysis and plasmapheresis...but hopefully they can stop those in the next couple days.
Her new room is away from any contageous people, so she can see our son again. She had her mom decorate the room with happy birthday balloons, streamers, etc...and they had a little surprise party for me, complete with ice cream cake. Aside from not being able to smoke a fine b-day cigar or scare Ray with a clown puppet...I couldn't have asked for a better birthday than spending it with my wife and son together. I can't wait for her to get out of that place!

It sounds like things are starting to look up! It is good that your wife can see your son again, I bet that was hard on her. I will keep you guys in my thoughts so that one of these days you guys can all be a family at home! ;)
Oh and you can just scare ray with a clown puppet the next time you see him to make up for it! :new_rofl:
