As we all know, Fred has worked tirelessly again to support the troops by putting together the Pale Horse Cap/Patch group buy. I would like to help lighten Fred's load by getting a few FRHs together to assemble and package orders going out to those participating in the group buy.

For those who might have missed the details, please check it out on CigarAsylum.com... Today is your last chance to purchase Pale Horse hats or patches!

Link to Pale Horse Group Buy (click here) (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11440&highlight=pale+horse)

Alternatively, you can sign up at the Troop Support Store (click for link) (http://cfrhn.com/oscommerce/) & purchase your cap/patch directly.

We will likely meet at Fred's office in Denver to assemble/package everything & then move to somewhere close like Cigars on 6th or the Celtic Tavern for a much needed cigar.

As the patches will likely take around 3 weeks to make it to Fred, I would like to quickly get some idea of whether Sat April 25th or Sat May 2nd will work better for the majority of people. Please post your date preference in the list below:

Sundays would work best for me both of those weekends. Saturdays I can try but not commit to, but don't change just for my sake.

Hmm... There's no reason that sundays couldn't work other than the PO being shut. Not sure that is really an issue, so I will talk with Fred & get back to the group.

Update... I know Fred put a hell of a lot of work towards this & it is sad to see the GB end this way.

THE PALE HORSE CAP & PATCH GB IS CANCELLED

In February I was told that the Pale Horse patch was doable via a phone conversation with a representative to discuss my expectations for the final product. I was assured there wouldn't be any problems producing this patch and then was provided a quote for 300 patches.

Fred,

Unfortunately this design is too detailed and has too much text for patch at the size required. This would have to be at least 4" and would not work for a cap. We would recommend doing direct embroidery on the cap as it would be easier to embroider.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

I'm assuming what happened was the salesperson BS me to get my business and the production people stopped the train. I/we were betrayed.

I will begin refunding everyones money immediately and those who have sent checks I haven't deposited I will return them to you immediately upon receipt.

I'm stunned and deeply disappointed by this development. I'm sorry this has happened and I apologize to all of you for this inconvenience.

Fred

Thanks for the update Fred, please keep the money I gave you and use it for shipping or whatever. For me this is about supporting the troops and to be honest I don't need another hat or patch.

I was very sorry to hear that this embroiderer failed to live up to promises made, and hurt the effort to support the troops with those actions. I hope this can be resurrected but the faith lost will be harder to earn back.
