View Full Version : single malt, dinner and cigar event

i just received a notice about an event that is on April 30th....

it is put on by "friends of classic malts" i.e. diageo....it is at the Brown Palace....tickets are a bit high at $ 115 each but includes tastings of over $ 80 single malts, buffet dinner....and several cigars given away during event from altadis....

thinking about going...maybe...

Sounds like a good time... I will probably no go to this event for one the cost (I don't drink Bourbon, whiskey, or scotch so the money would be wasted for me) and its a Thursday which is kind of tough to make.

If you end up going, let us know how it went. :cool:

I believe Dave (Tosterhead) was talking about this event when Wilkey was here... Sounds like a great time.

I think this sounds really nice. I'm going to have to see about digging up some extra cash for this. to sample that many quality scotch brands, have dinner at the Brown Palace, and walk with some cigars, would cost more than $115 any other place. Problem is coming up with an extra $115.

Hey guys,

Catching up after a hellish week. Yes this is the Scotch Malt Whisky Society of America Tasting Event. I have a table reserved and so far 8 mates are going. We can keep adding to the list up to 12 people and we all get a member discount ($113 woohoo!). If you are interested let me know and I'll add your name to the list.
