Bc-axeman-lance-babotl from CA
will be driving through our town on Friday 5/22 enroute between cody, wyo and raton, nm on a multiweek road trip. I suggested that he should stop off here so we FRH could show him a good herf….he is expecting to hit Denver around mid afternoon Friday. I am thinking we could set up a herf somewhere along the I 25 corridor to show him a good time….i’m thinking either celtic tavern (downtown), duffy’s (hampden and dahlia) or the robusto room (lonetree). I think Celtic would be best…let me know your interest, availability and thoughts.

I could do a fri herf, but no where near the afternoon time. The soonest I could make it to the Celtic is around 6ish if I rushed and traffic wasn't too bad... I would also suggest the Celtic.

Memorial Day Weekend kickoff day. Traffic's gonna suck no matter where you're at. I'll look at the calendar for this one.

I can't make it, as I will be camping with my family. I will smoke one around the campfire while thinking of y'all.
Also, Stanley Pappas is right off I-25 East on Arapahoe, but they have a "lounge is only for those that purchase a cigar" policy, which I have mixed feelings about.

Ditto... but from SP I buy the cheapest ones since everything is high. :argue:
I totally forgot this was Memorial weekend... I will actually have a hard time making it... my parents are out of town so I have to swing by Fort Collins to take care of the animals. And then my aunt is out of town as well, so I need to check up on my grandma.
So it will be tough for me to make it. :nope:

I am not sure if I can make it or not but think that it is a shame that a B&M would need to have a policy that says people that use their lounge must buy something. IMHO we should never use a lounge without supporting the shop. As I don't smoke many NC's lately, what I usually do is pickup something for the troops. Just my two cents.
I know, I know... :stfu:and get off my soap box right?

I always buy something when I frequent a B&M, (maybe not when I first get there, but eventually) but I don't know about the buy something everytime you enter policy. If I buy a box there and I bring one of those from the box back, I don't want to get preached at that I need to buy something else. I did purchase about 10 sticks one trip (and with their prices I could have bought a box at other merchants). I came back about three days later, pulled out one that I purchased earlier, and the person tending the counter said I needed to purchase a stick to use their lounge. I have only gone back since then to meet a friend from out of town.

My point was meant to be about supporting the place that lets us gather and smoke together with comfortable chairs and flat screen TV's. A place that would say I have to buy a stick on Tuesday after buying a box on Monday woundn't get any further business from me either.

LOOKS LIKE IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.....
HERE Is PM i received from Lance at CA:
"It looks like we may spend an extra day in WY and one less in Utah. Maybe not. Because of how long it will take to get to NM I think we will just be stopping less than an hour to say hi to our friends as we pass through Denver. It would be nice to meet y'all but the timing looks difficult."
Lance
I will advise if things change
