New Peterson Estate

Picked up an estate Peterson Kildare 440 off the bay really cheaply. This is my first real attempt at restoring a pipe and I think it turned out ok. Currently waiting for it to finish a salt/alcohol treatment before firing up a bowl.

Yeah, I messed up the P. Was a bit too vigorous in attacking the oxidation.

Finally had a chance to fire this thing up, summer school has been keeping me really busy.

Just a half bowl of Prince Albert so far, but I want to build up some cake in the heal before really going to town. I should have realized that a half bowl for this pipe is just as big as some of my other pipes. I don't want to make concrete judgement, but I think this is turning out to be the best pipe I own. Not to shabby for just under $18.
