When I was in HMN the other day, it was pretty slow and after bantering a bit, a customer that was in there smoking at the time offered up some suggestions for a new guy. One of them was this Benchmade in a toro size.
It has a little pigtail at the head and a darker brown wrapper but not a maduro, I think Nicaraguan is maybe the term for it.
Anyway, This is another stick I like. It had a great even burn and held the ash a long time. Great draw, and carried the flavors all the way through.
The smoke was creamy feeling with a bit of sweetness at the beginning and it then settled into a consitant rich tasting flavor that I now know as earthy. I always wondered what that term described and I think I know now. There was varying degrees of spice in this stick which is something I also like.
Price point was very reasonable if I remember right around 3.50 a stick so I will be getting some more of these.
