So what's everyone buying???

I just got in a few tins for myself and one for Dawn to try... Mostly Va and VaPer blends that I haven't smoked yet...

Looks like a nice haul, Peter. Lately I've picked up some McClellands British Woods (which has turned into my current favorite) and SG Full Virginia Flake. Still learning with flakes.

I also picked up some GL Pease Abingdon and Peterson's University Flake to try out.

Stopped by Prince Philip's on the way home from work tonight and picked up some Pembroke (http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend_detail.cfm?ALPHA=P&TID=497)(English with some Cognac) and some Ashton Guilty Pleasure (http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend_detail.cfm?ALPHA=G&TID=2591)(burly, tosted cavendish, VA). I really had to reign myself in, as I had about 7 tins in my hands when I was done looking and had to narrow it down to fit the cash in my pocket.

Small order from pipesandcigars.com just came in today.

8 oz. of Hearth and Home Butternut Burley
8 oz. of Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake

A 1.5 oz. pouch of Super Value Vanilla stowed away in the box. I've never tried it, but it smells nice.

Nice pickup on the FVF Daniel... I have enjoyed quite a few SG blends this year. Seems there is (has been?) a little shortage with all the buying going on lately though...

Thanks Peter. Yeah, the bulk SG stuff seems to just fly off the shelves, and it looks like most places just got it back in stock. It does look quite good jarred up and ready to age. :D

Stopped by Edwards on the way home from work (kind of like a moth to a flame), and picked up a new pipe and some Escudo. I really like the pipe, it is Czechoslovakian in origin, Jirsa, (the shape of a poker with an hourglass type shape) and is supposed to be a very good puffer.

Good choice on your new pipe Matt! I really like the one Jirsa I have & wouldn't hesitate to pick up another. Enjoy!

Thanks Peter. Also, somone's introduction of me to VAPERs lead to the Escudo purchase. So thanks again.

I need to get to Edward's and get a freaking pipe now! Luckily for me I lost my old pipe from which I only smoked aromatics. Time to start clean and try some non-aromatic...shoot, now I've got pipe tobacco on the brain.

I have only had two bowls in it so far, but as of now, I really like it. It is a little early to tell if it will be my favorite, but it is certainly a contender.

I picked up this nice Peterson poker at Jerri's yesterday. Smoked it last night with a house blend I picked up with the pipe. Smoked great!

Cool pipe Matt...so not every Peterson has the p-lip?

Last week was the first pipe of the year, an Edwards bent billiard that smokes really nice for me. Problem was I only had one tobacco that wasn't dried out...some Tewksbury Autumn Blend (or something like that). Well ignorance might be bliss here, as I enjoyed it immensely. Also this first pipe of the season was a needed wake up call to rehydrate the rest of my tobaccos. Now I've got a few more to chose from.

not all of them. I have never smoke a P-lip pipe, and I'm weary of dropping the money on a system which people either love or hate. I'm just afraid that I'll fall into the "hate" category, and be out the money.

New Tsuge! This is my third now, so maybe I'm a biassed, but these are great little pipes for the money...

Thanks, Matt! The shape was listed as a bent brandy, but it does look more like a squat volcano. Tomato/tomatoe, I guess... I like this chart posted on B&B.
