I was just reviewing our ebay traffic reports and I found we had a bunch of traffic come from FRH and I wanted to thank who ever it was that mentioned us in these forums. I can't seem to find the exact thread but we do always appreciate kind words, recommendations and links.

My traffic report did not provide a direct link to the exact post, only the website, so I could not post the thank you in that thread.

David, please don't feel run off. If there was support for your store we do want you around, please let me do some research and get back to you. We get a lot of spammers and we just need to protect ourselves. This is headed your way in PM as well.

I wouldn't take the posts here too much to heart David... CFRH is a pretty tight knit community & we all have a tendency to look out for our own. Nothing personal, just the way it is... I see your store carries quite a few cigar accessories & hope that we see you here again...

In short, serendipity.

Circa 2002 the owner of my local B&M wanted out of the business. I was already involved in something else but I offered to lease his store on trial basis to measure the real potential. He had not really paid attention to it and was himself burned out so there was a real profit potential.

But he was also afraid to move one with his life and kept hanging out at the store. He was having some personal problems at the time and it was the best move to give the store back to him so he had something, anything, to keep him going. Discretion bags me to leave out the ugly details.

But I had several thousand dollars (wholesale) in cigar and accessories to unload. Ebay and Yahoo auctions were booming at the time so it was an obvious answer. Amazingly I sold accessories faster online than I did cigars in his store. So I kept at it and it eventually I outgrew the rest of my business.

And my wife says I am an easier person to live with only her as a boss.
